ECA/PAC Advances Member Goals

The ECA Political Action Committee - ECA/PAC - has worked for more than three decades to
advance the legislative goals of the association's members in the arena of heavy construction. The
ECA/PAC has as its mission to ensure the interests of the industry are heard and represented in
the halls of power where ever needed throughout Southern California and in Sacramento.
The ECA/PAC accomplishes these objectives in a number of ways
including educating political leaders as to the importance of specific
needs of the construction industry. Working in conjunction with ECA's
full-time Legislative Advocate, Phil Vermeulen, and the association's
Legislative Committee, the ECA/PAC provides leadership on multiple
fronts representing concerns of both contractors and affiliates.

Funding for ECA/PAC efforts is garnered through a number of events
throughout the year. These events include: The Silent Auction at the
Annual Installation of Officers; Casino Night featuring a discussion of
pressing issues; Annual PAC Golf Tournament; and occasional other
special events for individual candidates or electoral contests.
